Andrew Pierce, Ashley Hudson and their Hamburg community knew that they would not go back. Ashley was only 17 and she'd never been with a man prior to that. They began the romance quite slowly. In order to create the perfect wedding, they decided to take a little inspiration from the things they love. The wedding venue was the 40 acres back of the land Ashley was raised on. Ashley enjoyed playing and exploring all the land, including the paths they walked to reach the spot. Andrew and Ashley were walking through the same area when they were together. Personalization became important since almost everything involved DIY from the groom and bride. Andrew and Ashley's dad created the seating areas and an arch to be used during the wedding ceremony. Ashley painted many of the decorations.
